Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
This policy describes what information is handled when you read calmbellykitchen.com, how the operator uses it and what choices you have. The operator is the person or organisation running this food and wellbeing blog, and the words we and us refer to the operator.
What our servers record
When a page of recipes or gut health notes is requested, the server that delivers it keeps a routine log entry. It can include your IP address, the time, the page you asked for, your browser and device type and the page that led you here. We use these logs to keep Calmbellykitchen running, to find faults and abuse, and to see broadly which articles people read.
Cookies and similar tools
Calmbellykitchen may store small files in your browser while you browse recipes and articles. A few keep the pages working as designed. Others, where switched on, count audience numbers, remember a setting, serve advertising or note which link sent a reader to a shop so an affiliate referral can be credited. Anything set by an advertiser or analytics provider is handled under that provider’s own privacy notice, not ours.
Controlling tracking in your browser
You can block or clear cookies through your browser settings, browse privately or use tools that limit tracking. If your browser sends a do-not-track or global privacy signal, we treat it as an opt-out request wherever the technology we use allows. If you block everything, a saved preference or an embedded recipe video may stop working.
Health details and what you email us
If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you include. Because this site discusses digestion and diet, some readers mention symptoms or conditions. Please share only what you are comfortable with. We use messages to answer you, to correct articles and to keep a record of the exchange. We do not sell them and will not publish them without asking you.
Newsletters and forms
If a newsletter signup or form is offered, the details you enter are used for that purpose only, such as sending the recipes or updates you requested. Every newsletter will carry an unsubscribe route, and an email to us asking to be taken off the list works just as well.
Outside services we rely on
A food blog depends on outside providers. These can include hosting and delivery networks, analytics tools, advertising and affiliate networks, and embedded items such as recipe videos. They may receive technical data about your visit so their service works, and they handle it under their own privacy notices.
How long data is kept
Visit logs are kept only for a short working period, after which they are erased or boiled down to counts that identify nobody. Emails are kept while they help us answer you, fix an article or meet a legal duty, and are deleted once that need has passed.
Asking about your information
Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask what personal information we hold, request correction or deletion, object to certain uses and withdraw earlier consent. To make a request, email [email protected] and say what you need. We may ask you to confirm your identity first and will reply within the time the law sets.
Younger readers
Calmbellykitchen is written for adults and a general audience and is not aimed at children under 13. We have no wish to gather data about young children through recipe or nutrition pages. A parent who finds that a child wrote to us can ask by email, and the message will be erased.
Keeping information safe
We take reasonable steps such as secure connections and restricted access to the inbox. No system on the internet is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection of anything you send.
Data crossing borders
Providers that support this site may process data in other countries whose laws differ from those where you live. By using Calmbellykitchen you accept that information about your visit may travel in this way.
Updates to this policy
This page will be rewritten when the blog adds new tools, such as a different analytics service or a mailing list, or when privacy rules shift. The effective date above shows when the current version began, and continuing to read the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Your consent and the regulator
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect anything done before. See the Cookie Policy page for the cookies in use and how to manage them. If you live in the EU, EEA or UK you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office); in Australia, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
